Brodix BB-2 Cylinder Heads
BB-2 and BB-2 PLUS Series Cylinder Heads / 26° A-356 Virgin Aluminum; Easily Repaired Raised Valve Cover Rail Ends Milled and Drilled for Accessories 119 cc Combustion Chambers Ductile Iron Valve Seats for Use With Unleaded Fuel The BB-2 and BB-2 Plus heads work well with a heavy car and smaller engine (427-509 cu in). The BB-2 has a 305 cc intake port and flows 320 cfm; the BB-2 Plus has a 312 cc intake port and flows over 340 cfm with only the bowls blended and the intake ports matched. Both heads may be purchased angle milled to 110 cc. The combustion chambers are 119 cc and are properly shaped for use with either methanol or gasoline, preventing detonation. While creating the BB-2 Plus CNC, the professionals at BRODIX invested many long hours on the flow bench and at the track developing a completely ported cylinder head. The BRODIX porting design was incorporated into a 100% CNC ported masterpiece that can be mass produced. The CNC ported BB-2 Plus castings are CNC ported to a mirror finish and flow within 1% of each other. The bottom line is that our customers can now buy the most accurate, best flowing out-of-the-box cylinder heads available at the best price. These cylinder heads accept all standard pistons, intake manifolds, and rocker arms. Dart BBC Iron Eagle Cylinder Heads
We designed Iron Eagle big-block heads for street performance, bracket racing, oval track competition, tractor pulling, and high-performance marine applications. We developed two rectangular ports: a high-velocity 308cc intake runner that produces incredible torque and a 345cc version that's perfect for big-inch, high-rpm Rat motors. The Iron Eagle's raised exhaust port outperforms its cast-iron competition but still fits most standard headers. Iron Eagle big-block heads have standard features you won't find in factory castings and aftermarket replacement heads. We applied the airflow technology developed in our championship-winning Pro Stock engine program to produce these state-of-the-art heads. Every intake port, every exhaust runner, every valve bowl, and every combustion chamber is 100% CNC machined on special dedicated PRO 1 castings. Dart PRO 1 CNC heads are professional quality competition cylinder heads. We sleeve the head bolt columns between the intake ports to maximize the cross-sectional area at a critical point in the flow path. We offer a choice of 335cc and 355cc intake ports so you can match the runner volume to your engineνs displacement and rpm range. The high-velocity raised exhaust ports are modeled on our own Pro Stock heads using airflow concepts that dramatically improve cylinder scavenging and the engineνs ability to accelerate quickly. Multi-angle intake valve seats direct the air-fuel mixture into the chamber like an airfoil, reducing turbulence and preventing fuel separation. Fully radiused exhaust seats provide the smoothest possible transition into the ports for hot exhaust gases.
