Hickey
Makes his Mark:
For Hammond, LA based Adam Hickey, racing at the opening event
in the NHRA Division 4 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at No
Problem Raceway in his home state couldn’t get any better.
Besides the fact that Adam was celebrating a birthday he set a
New National Record with an outstanding .724 under pass on his
final qualifying attempt. Running 8.14 E.T. at 163.67 MPH. Driving
the families C/SMA Patterson Racing powered Chevy Cobalt the former
Super category driver enjoyed one of the finest days in his still
young Comp Eliminator career and picked up the low qualifier bonus
from Hughes Performance. Congratulations!!

Sharp
takes Super Stock Runner-Up
Lee Sharp also started from the number 1 qualifying position in
his SS/CM ‘06 Cavalier running an outstanding 8.50 E.T.
Lee made it to the event final in his first Super Stock Eliminator
outing of his career.
Running two car is tough enough but to qualify both of them Number
1 in an opening event is almost unheard of. This just what Lee
Sharp did with his Patterson Powered race cars. Sharp qualified
his SS/CM ’06 Chevy Cavalier with a 8.50 ET putting him
at No. 1 in qualifying. Sharp drove the ’06 Patterson Powered
Cavailer through round after round reaching the final round and
taking the Runner UP spot on the opening Div. 2 race. With the
opening day bugs shaken off look for Sharp and Patterson Power
to be in the winners circle in ’08.
CONGRATULATIONS LEE ON YOUR SUCCESS IN BRADENTON!! |

| Lee
Sharps patience and commitment to drag racing excellence paid
off in the Division 2 opening event during qualifying where all
the hard work at Sharp racing and Patterson Engines came together
to not only qualify number one but to also capture the National
Record in B/EA in Sharp’s Chevy Cobalt. The drag racer from
Maryville, TN clicked off an impressive 7.707 ET @ 174.85 MPH
to claim the National Record in his ’07 Cobalt. By setting
the mark early look for Sharp Racing and Patterson power to inch
the bar a little higher in ’08 in their quest for excellence. |
